ACCOMMODATION

This Luxury Retreat will be held in a deluxe villas in Uluwatu, Bali.

A beautiful place surrounded by forest, located around 45 minutes from the Int. Airport in Bali and close to shopping, dining and entertainment areas.

Hidden Valley is best known for its Lumbung Village – a range of traditionally built villas surrounding beautifully landscaped tropical gardens and a large pool, ensuring that nature life and breathes through your retreat experience.

Offering complete peace and privacy as you unwind in the tropical countryside setting near several of Bali’s world famous beaches.

The beautifully decorated gardens encompassing the property are a key defining feature of the resort, plus the large yard, day spa and functional fitness centre.

We have conducted previous workshops in this beautiful space and are looking forward to holding many more there in the future.

You will have your own bedroom (double or single occupancy) in a deluxe villa each with a king sized bed, luxury European bedding, air-conditioning, your own private bathroom with modern amenities – including a digital safe, daily maid service, Wi-Fi, DVD & cable TV.

Set amidst tropical landscapes, it boasts 4 swimming pools with sun decks, and great outdoor living/dining areas..

Activities will be conducted on site at the Villa which means no traveling so you can have lunch then jump in the pool before resuming for the afternoon.


Meals & Dining Options

Daily breakfast and lunch will be provided at the Villa.

Prices DO NOT include any alcoholic beverages. Unlimited fresh water is provided. Fresh juices or soft drinks will be provided at breakfast and lunch. We can also take you to the supermarket to stock up on items you may require during your stay.

We have decided not to include dinner in the package. We will take you to a different, delicious restaurant each night at which you can choose and pay for your own meals and drinks.

There will be a variety of popular venues and different foods on offer and something different each night. There are Italian, Moroccan, Greek, Seafood, International, Indonesian, Asian, Vegetarian, Thai restaurants & local Warungs …. They are all here and close at hand whatever your budget.

Please let us know if you have any special dietary requirements.

If you choose not to join us and to go it on your own we can call a taxi for you (at your expense) or there is a driver available at the Villa. You will also have to get yourself back to the Villa. Alternatively, you may choose to eat at the Villa.

Having food delivered to you is also a popular option.

A BRIEF OVERVIEW OF OUR RETREAT INCLUSIONS

Yoga

Yoga is an old discipline from India. It is both spiritual and physical. Yoga uses breathing techniques, exercise and meditation. It helps to improve health and happiness. Daily yoga practice will help stretch and tone your muscles. You don’t have to be super flexible to practice yoga, the beauty of yoga is that it can be practiced at all levels of ability.

Just a few minutes of yoga every day will provide that much needed energy boost in our busy lives and will keep us fresh for longer. Yoga, with its unique synergy of body and breath work, is perfect when your reserves are running low.

We’ll be doing daily restorative yoga, which is gentle and relaxing.


Pranayama

Pranayama uses the breath to direct and expand the flow of prana in our energy channels – the nadis. … So by practising pranayama we are clearing the obstacles in our bodies, allowing breath and energy (prana) to flow freely.

Our breathing is improved, our bodies function better and we clear and calm the mind. It quickly balances energy and stabilizes moods. Long term, the practice can help with all sorts of things, including anxiety, stress, depression, insomnia, improved focus, and, of course increased self-awareness.


Sound Meditation

Meditation is a practice where an individual uses a technique – such as mindfulness, or focusing the mind on a particular object, thought or activity – to train attention and awareness, and achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm and stable state.

By including sound into your meditation, it is like you are tuning your body, and allows you to reach relaxing brain waves states. Sounds can be used as a focus for meditation as well, they stimulate prana, or life energy and have similar psycho acoustical and spiritual properties as Mantras.

Both the sounds and the stillness that the sound resolves into are beneficial as it reduces cortisol levels, stimulates the production of beneficial nitric oxide to calm the nervous system.


Swings for Therapy

The Aerial swing is a wonderful tool for therapy. We will be conducting an Intro to therapeutics which will include:

  • Restorative and Therapeutic yoga using the swing
  • Modifications for injuries
  • Inversion Therapy

Inversion therapy is a technique where you are suspended upside down to stretch the spine and relieve back pain. The theory is that by shifting the body’s gravity, pressure eases off the back while also providing traction for the spine.

Because inversion tables stretch and release tension from muscles around the spine, inversion therapy can offer other benefits beyond pain-relief, including reduced stress, improved blood circulation and increased flexibility.


Massage

Massage therapy relaxes muscle tissue, which reduces painful contractions and spasms. Massage can also reduce nerve compression. To understand this, consider that when muscles are contracted, they sometimes compress the nerves around them. … Touching the skin or applying pressure relaxes muscles, tendons, and ligaments.

Some of the physical benefits of massage include:

  • reduced muscle tension.
  • improved circulation.
  • stimulation of the lymphatic system.
  • reduction of stress hormones.
  • relaxation.
  • increased joint mobility and flexibility.
  • improved skin tone.
  • improved recovery of soft tissue injuries.

Day Trip to Besakih (The Mother Temple)

Besakih is known as the Mother Temple of Bali for more than a thousand years is simply the most important temple for the whole of the island and is integral part of Balinese Hindu religion and culture.

It is situated in a dramatic location on the southern slopes of Sacred Mount Agung and is quite unique as it consists of more than 80 individual temples, the main one being Pura Penataran Agung (the Great Temple of State).

It is surrounded by scenic rice paddies, lush forests and vegetation. The compound is really big so you can easily spend 3 hours here. You will need to walk quite a bit and climb stairs. And if you have a good guide who is capable of explaining to you the different symbols, the meaning of the separate temples, their shrines etc time will fly.

Please note: Visitors to all temples are required to cover their legs and shoulders. You must wear a proper top and a sarong, long skirt or long pants.
